In the summer of 2009 I visited great parts of France. We stayed at old castles and mansions sleeping in canopy beds and playing castle ghost with little Emma. We marveled at the giant Hydrangeas in the gardens and sat in ancient libraries at the evening drinking wine and reading those vintage books. As I painted “Cottonflowers Burgund” I remembered these moments.
